Een schrander Modeschilder zal zich wel wagten van het Antiek te gebruiken, en het een onder het ander te vermengen; want dat zou een onvergeevelyke misslag weezen: nademaal hy alles, 't geen hy in zyne geheele studie behoeft, overvloedig genoeg kan bekomen. Is het niet een groote dwaaling, eenige uitheemsche woorden te willen gebruiken in een taal die van zelve ryk genoeg is?
